In April 2016, INOVA+ hosted the kick-off meeting of the Junior Code Academy (Matosinhos, Portugal). This event enabled to fine-tune the methodology and define the next project’s activities, which include, for instance, carrying out a survey in the partner’ schools which will allow to engage the entire school community and to map the needs that will be further addressed by the project. Based on the results collected during the work field, partners will develop several educational resources. This set of materials will reinforce the youngsters’ coding skills encouraging them to take an active and responsible role when interacting with new technologies and will support teachers in the demanding task of nurturing the digital talent of their students.
