On January 9th, the final conference of the JCA project took place at Star-up Lisbon facilities. The event started with the presentation of the project results achieved during the 24 months of project execution. Project guidelines and the curriculum developed were the results of the project highlighted, as they are the main outputs that teachers can easily use in their classes. The Portuguese, Greek and Italian partners who implemented the project materials with their students shared their experiences and lessons learned. After that took place the roundtable that joined Fernanda Ledesma, President of the Nacional Association of ICT Teachers, Teresa Godinho, Technological Education Resources Team-Leader at General Education Direction (GED) at Ministry of Education, João Marques, Teacher at Agrupamento de Escolas José Saramago and former collaborator  at GED, and Domingos Folque, co-founder of Code for All and Digital Champion of Portugal to talk about topics like “Coding! What is all the fuss about?”, undergoing initiatives of the institutions they represent and contributes to the “digital challenge” on the education of the youngsters in Portugal and in Europe, as well as future initiatives to implement.
The honor of closing the event was attributed to Maria João Horta Subdirector of GED who spoke about the importance of code initiatives in education to prepare young people for the challenges of their future lives. At the end, she thanked the invitation to close the event and congratulated the Consortium of the JCA project for having carried out such an ambitious project in a central theme for the education of the future workers.
